I wanted a very economical sound system for my car. Saw this power and the price was very catching. I was a bit worried that it would not work well due to the price. However, it turned out to work very well. I have tried another amp that is much more expensive and is rated higher in tuens of wattage. I had to reinstall this blaupunkt amplifier as i found the bass to be rounder and plays pretty well when the radio volume is low as well.

I bought this amplifier to power the main four speakers in my 1996 240sx. I bought a cheap chinese headunit and needed something else to power the speakers to their full potential. So far this amplifier has been working out great. Probably a little overkill just for my speakers.Only thing that sucks (not about the amplifier, but warranty) is Blaupunkt went out of business after being sold a few times some years back. So if something happens, it will be all up to Amazon, or go into my junk pile.A random note on how I have this wired up.This amplifier takes RCA inputs only, there are NO high level inputs. I didn’t know this when buying it (probably wouldn’t of bought it then), and I didn’t want to return it so I decided to try to get this to work.My Android headunit only has one set of RCA out, meant for the sub-woofer. But this can be changed in the software. This amp requires front and rear RCA in. So to get around this, I had prior bought an equalizer that I never used, but it takes in multiple types of inputs (one set of RCA, line-in, bluetooth, etc) and outputs it to front and rear RCA. It also has a fader to imitate a headunit’s front and rear balancing. So I have the headunit going to that equalizer, then to this Blaupunkt amplifier and another amplifier I use for my subwoofer. Which all works out great, just a bit more complicated then I wanted this car to be.I’ll update this the more I use the amplifier, or if anything happens to it.

This is a name brand that I have trusted for year and I am very pleased that they are still going strong! Excellent installation instructions for different configurations. Good looking unit.

This is a great amp for the money. Unfortunately the car audio industry as a whole is full of false wattage claims and misleading numbers. Whenever you see “peak power 1500 watts” that just means it will last for one milisecond and then it’s gone. Also they often are referring to 2 ohm power not 4 ohm power so this doubles the “watts.” And then there are the tricksters that power the amp with 24 volts instead of 12 volts to get a higher (double) number. The RMS number is the closest to reality and even that you can usually cut in half. There is a new standardized wattage measuring system (I think it’s called CRMS) You can see it on most SONY products. This amp is reviewed on youtube and one guy used 22 volts to get the 150 watt RMS power (x4 channels) from it. Another guy just gave it 12 volts and got 75 watts for each of 4 channels. So the actual power from this amp is total 300 watts RMS and that is actually a great amp for 65.00! I bought two of them to power six speakers and a simple bass unit and it is quite loud. You can use a single unit to power 4 normal speakers at a solid 75 watts per speaker. (you’ll want to buy “150 watt” speakers because they lie too.) Or you can power two speakers at a real 150 watts. Or it has a nice feature for bass boost where you can power two 75 watt speakers and a 150 watt bass box. This really is a good amp for normal human beings. Much louder than stock car audio. Also remember when you see these super loud sound systems on cars they probably use a dual battery system and have to buy a special alternator for their car that puts out more volts. A normal car power system 12v battery would go dead if you played a 1500 watt stereo for long! Besides, when is the last time you actually listened to a real 1500 watt stereo? I miss the 80’s when a 50 watt 6×9 speaker was very loud and if you had 4 of them you would blow your ear drums out!

Ruined a Boss amp that was heavy as hell for no reason and was twice the price of this. This was great and it’s compact and light. I have alpines so they’re pretty efficient and don’t need crazy power to run. This amp has a clean signal and can turn up a good amount without clipping. It may not be as powerful as it claims but it still is pretty strong. Sounds like it runs equal to my “boss phantom 2200W “. I do have an upgraded 240a alternator that runs at a bit higher voltage than stock so I do get a little bit more out of this amp.The shielding is great and keeps engine whine noise very low compared to what I had. This is a good budget amp, let’s just see how it holds up.**did have a weird issue where the amp takes a while to warm up and output audio at first. Thought I had a dud after wiring everything and triple checked the setup, but no audio at first. I gave up and came back the next day and out of nowhere heard audio finally come out. Just be patient with the install. Let it run for a while and leave it alone. After that it turns on easily and with no problem at all.

Oh my god. This little monster far exceeded my expectations. I am currently running 2 of these, one for my main speakers, and one for my subs. For the main speaks, Ive pushed these (polk 6.5s) down to 2 ohm, and for the subs (one Kicker Comp and one Pioneer 4ohm DVC. For the kicker, ive bridged 2 chans to 4 ohm, and for the pioneer, Ive bridged both coils to 2 ohm and everything is perfect. Ive had this setup out for long drives now with zero over heat. With summer coming, itd be a good final test, but I have mucho faith.

I have wanted to own a Blaupunkt for decades. Now I do and I am NOT disappointed! Easy to connect to. Powering a modest 4 channel system with 4 of these in the doors: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0032FOKAQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1and an Eonon head unit. Sound is very clean, very powerful for such a bargain basement price! Does exactly what an amplifier should do. I don’t believe longevity will be an issue with this amplifier. I absolutely recommend it!EDIT-And now it is $10 LESS than what I paid for it 8 days ago! Was a great buy when I got it, and it is even better now! This thing doesn’t skip a beat! LUV, LUV, LUV my Blaupunkt Amp!!!

Blaupunkt has been around since the 30’s they know a thing or two about audio. However they have lost reputation due to their false advertising of power. It comes nothing close to 1500w or its RMS rating. More like PEAK power of 650 watts when hooked up to an amp dyno. These kick ass though I have a boss amp powering my sub at the same wattage that overheats after about 1 hour of high-volume playback. I have my blaupunkt 4-channel powering 6 speakers and it has yet to overheat and shut down. Don’t buy this if you plan to pair it with a sub, Buy it if you’re doing a speaker upgrade.

Just needed something to drive my speakers as my aftermarket headunit right channel died, and the OEM amplifiers died on my mustangI may have not matched the impedance for all of my speaker system, but this thing drives all channels with 6 speakers hooked up to it ,very loudly ( i have 4 speakers wired together in 2 separate channels)This will definitely be louder than a stock system set up and can potentially get loud enough to hurt your ears
