So far I’m loving this camera. Here are a few notes that might sound kind of negative, the camera is great though. The included lens is good if you have ample lighting. If you are doing indoor shots you either to need set up lights or use a lens with a wider aperature. I got the panasonic 25mm f1.7 prime and it does low light a lot better.Everyone says the stabilization is really good, but my only frame of reference is a gopro, which beats the g95 noticebly.I thought I’d like the evf, I’ve only ever used optical viewfinders before. I like the continuous monitoring a lot, but the image quality is noticebly worse than the rear lcd. It’s still useable, it just isn’t superb, and now I understand why people make such a big deal about the evf on a nice camera’s like the gh5 and s1h.The battery life gets bad reviews too, but honestly it is adequate. I bought 2 extra batteries and I’ve never needed more than 1 and a half. This camera is definitely worth the price. Especially now that it’s 800. You can get a used gh5 body for a few hundred more but you are gonna spend another 200 at least on lenses. And you will end up filling up memory cards 4x faster on a gh5 which can also get expensive or time consuming. If your content is just going to youtube you really won’t gain much if anything with a gh5 over a g95.The g95 also takes pictures just about as good as the gh5.It’s a win in my book

Moved from full-frame Canon to MFT in order to cut weight – especially longer focal length. Mission accomplished – cut the need for a backpack to a sling-bag. The camera has pleasantly surprised me. I expected good handling – but he image quality and stabilization are truly impressive. OK, low light performance is not as good as my 5Diii – but it’s decent. My ability to get keepers at low shutter speed and long focal lengths has staggered me. (50-200 is equivalent to my old Canon 100-400 mkii). I’ve become something of a MFT zealot. This thing rocks.

Pros:__________• The flexible screen can be easily adjusted to almost any format you want. You can make the screen face outwards or to the back. What I really like about this is that it felt very sturdy/stable, regardless of where you put the screen at.• The menu system on this camera is clear and direct. I didn’t feel overwhelmed when scattering through the menu. Very organized and not at all intimidating.• Really appreciate the three buttons on top camera for adjusting the white balance, ISO setting, and exposure compensation. Also, each one has a different texture so, over time, you’ll memories which button you’re pressing without even looking at it. The small details matter in the long run.• You can customize almost any of the camera controls you want. I didn’t toy with this feature because it’s really based on those who already have a system when shooting professionally.• The autofocus is extremely fast and accurate.• 4k (30, 25, and 24fps) shoots work like a charm, and yes unlimited recording is allowed! I’ve heard they’re selling a version in Europe that will only allow 30 minutes per shoot. This could be wrong but it’s something you should know if it’s right (Also, you can film in 1080 60fps).• The dials and the control buttons all feel firm and tight. Nothing on this is loose or wiggling.• Shooting indoors, I was impressed on how well the auto white balance was able to perform. The room I tested in had a yellow cast light bulb that made a warm lighting effect. This feature clears this issue up.• The stabilization is well made in this camera (a Dual IS a system with 5-axis image stabilization). I know this will be a benefit for those who want to shoot in slower shutter speed, therefore keeping the ISO speed down.• The buffer delay is nonexistent. It takes maybe 1 second to store your image.• An insane amount of shooting modes. Scene modes, Creative Effects, as well as 4K photo modes. I try to review as much as I can, but I have to admit that this was a little overwhelming. You just need to know each one is unique and each one isn’t the same as the other (A lot of options).• The Live Composite mode is one of my favorite features this camera has. To summarize you take photos and watch the exposure on-screen as you’re taking the photo. This is great for capturing light trail without overexposing the rest of the picture. For me, I used this tool a lot when I was taking shots in a shadow (low lit locations).• A big thumbs up when you see that the camera as a built-in microphone and headphone sockets on the side. It’s on the top of the camera, which was a brilliant place to put it because the LCD screen can be moved freely without being blocked by the mic jack.• Wifi and Bluetooth are both not power hungry. Then again I only turn one of these features on when I’m transferring pictures to my laptop. Both work fine, just a little slower to transfer compared to a wire, or memory card, transfer (which is also an option). I see the Bluetooth feature a benefit for those who want to use a wireless remote to shoot.• Face and eye detection work really well. In a crowded mall, it was able to focus directly at my friend.• Built-in pop-up flash. No need to buy an extension because this flash also has numerous settings depending on your shot.• The “Easy Touch” feature is the second best mode on this camera. It lets you erase unwanted objects in an image, using the camera, without having to edit it on a computer. For those who use Photoshop or Illustrator, this is a Godsend. To do this work without even using your computer.• If you take multiple shots at the same time the camera will give you the option of allowing it to choose the best one. Note I only found this useful when taking pictures of people. I assume that the auto-picking feature detects faces, as I always found nature shoots better with my choosing.• Post Focus is available! For newbies, this means you can change your focus point after shooting your pic.• You can choose to use either a mechanical or electronic shutter. The choice is yours.• The screen is responsive, no delay, and I found it very useful to set the focus point while using the screen as a guide.• The weatherproof/ dustproof design gives this camera a great grip, regardless of hand size.• The layout is built in a way that you can use this with one hand (small and compact). If you’re a vlogger than this was the news you were looking for.• The smartphone app is straight forward and productive because you can change the key camera settings, fire the shutter button, and even GPS the shooting location on your image. Basically you can control the camera right on your phone. Note that the app itself is not the best and you’ll need consistent connection with the camera (which will drain the battery)• Extremely well-built with a full die-cast magnesium body. The screen itself can be folded into the camera to prevent it from being scratched.• No delay when turning it on.• A decent 0.74x magnification as well as 100% frame coverage.• No one needs to stand still, this camera will track you before you say “Cheese!”Cons and Oks:__________• Battery life isn’t great. Up to 290 shots and you then have to charge it up. It does have a power saving mode that can bring it up to 900 shots. Using this camera you want the best performance it has while not lowering the quality/power of it. I will rarely use the power saver.• Putting the camera up to your eye does create an issue with the screen below. On numerous occasions, it was very easy to brush the screen with my hand and the focus point, that I originally put, was changed.• Micro USB connection (not USB Type-C). This is a Pro as well because you can charge it without a battery replacement, but a Con because it’s a Micro USB connection.• The electronic viewfinder occurs indoors, low light, which results in a noticeably grainier picture.• A generic lens, with the cost you’re paying you should expect with an upgraded lens. This makes this product overpriced in my book.• You’re able to combine multiple images into one action shot. Have no idea why you just film it (it’s literally the same feature).• For more of the camera pro, the Micro Four Thirds sensor is small, but this doesn’t seem to harm its performance.• A single memory card slot. No extension options.• Just right out of the box there were a couple of shots that were exposed little too much. You can correct this issue easily but it’s an FYI when you turn it on for the first time.• Note that this has a smaller sensor, but it does not put it at a disadvantage. Still, you need to know that there are some competitors (ex: Sony) that have cameras that provide a bigger sensor and more megapixels for the same money.• I’ve noticed some for noise performance in the camera at higher ISO speeds.• The Panasonic Lumix G80 will remain available on the market. For G80 users, it’s a minimum upgrade, so spend your money on lenses instead.Bottom Line:__________Reviewing cameras are always difficult because the end result is what “you” see in a picture/video. It’s the same as buying a car or a house. You need to test it out yourself before saying “yes, I’ll buy it.” This is a must if you don’t really know about the mechanics of a camera because there might be something on this camera that doesn’t feel right to you.But if I had to summarize it, it’s a great camera that fits all beginners and pros. The software is well made and is still compact enough to put it in your backpack. I see this more for vloggers but for those who live in a sports world that need 4k 60fps, this camera doesn’t have it. A simple menu layout that makes it easy for beginners, and the indebt customization and modes that makes it feel like home for a professional.Overall: Not the best at anything, but really good at everything.Hope I was a help to you.Love,Honest Reviewer.

OK 3 days with this beaut. I was under the impression that the G-95 was made in Japan. I REALLY wanted to own something that was not made in China. The G-95 is made in China. I don’t mean to imply that the Chinese people don’t make quality products I just hoped to find a product from other than China. I’ve given up hope on finding a USA manufactured item.I’m glad for You Tube in that there are many helpful tutorials specifically about the 95. This is the most sophisticated camera I have purchased. I’m happy for IA function but as one expert recommended “take the training wheels off” and learn what this camera is capable of.

I bought this camera two months ago. I normally use the 14mm to 140 mm lens. I use the camera for photos and video. I normally use the 1080p at 60 frames a second . The video is great I see no need to use 4K. I’ve used 4K and also 1080 p they both work great. I see no need to use 4K because the 1080p is breathtaking. The photos are great. The most important thing about this camera is the stabilization it really works great. I have been able to take great photos in the dark hand held at a 5 second shutter speed. This camera is amazing. I will say I have a steady hand. Blurry photos because of camera shake are eliminated. I love the layout of all the buttons they are all in the correct place. Panasonic are number one when it comes to ease of use.

Panasonic is known for its video cameras. But Lumix does an excellent job with these semi-professional cameras. One of the best aspects of this camera is the quality of its videos, although it uses the MFT sensor, this does not mean that the result is bad.On the contrary, in illuminated environments it is when it works best, with low light it can be affected, but nothing that cannot be fixed later in post production.Personally, I think it is an excellent camera that can be used to learn photography and film at the same time. And one of the best things … is that there are several photographic lenses at quite convenient prices.PROS:- You can use it as a real camera or as a video camera. Without losing quality.- Low size and weight- Many photographic lenses that you can use- If you are a war correspondent, you can go into battle with this little camera and win a position in the MAGNUM agency.CONS:- Work in low light- Some say that the MFT sensors “are dead”, but reality proves otherwise.- AF is unstable
