Bought this item as part of my new sound system for my car. LOVE it… The R500X1D Prime amp makes my Fosgate P1-2X12 subs hit hard. Installed along with an AudioControl LC2i LOC. Perfect match of Subs, AMP and LOC. You can’t go wrong with Rockford Fosgate.Installed this in a 2018 Honda Civic EX sedan.

The media could not be loaded.  Birth sheet showed it as 653 watts RMS.In classic Rockford fashion, it delivers more power than its rated for.I’ve been using Rockford Fosgate since the 90’s and they always deliver on quality.I ended up going with a Rockford 10″ P2 4ohm with Dual Voice Coil, so I could wire it down to 2 ohms so I could make use of the amps full potential and throw plenty of power to the one 10″.I used 4 gauge 100% pure copper, flexible welding wire for power and ground. I also used the “Install Gear” ANL fuse holder and went with a 60 amp fuse. This amp is incredible for the money.Especially since you also get the bass knob included. Some manufacturers don’t include one, you have to buy it separate.I built a custom stealth box for the 10″ sub in my 03 Chevy Trailblazer and it absolutely slams. The box in the pics doesn’t have the carpet on it yet but you get the idea of what it’s supposed to look like. The video sound may not be the greatest because the bass distorts the cell phone mic when recording but with headphones it may sound better.Get the amp… You’ll be glad you did.

Birth sheet for this amp says it’s 638 Watts. And unless your cars an older model you will get the full almost of Watts stated on the birth sheet. Idky but RF under rates their amps but having more Watts is always better!! And someone wrote a review that says the birth sheet is wrong is incorrect!! As long you have a newer battery and alternator isn’t junk then your lights won’t dim!! Am very happy with this amp!! My 2 12s are 600 Watts RMS and it’s only set quarter way up which is more then enough!! So that means it’s pushing whatever that Birth sheet says? My 12s RMS was 150 which when speakers are set at 2 ohms means that’s what their pushing..! That’s why I barley need not even half The gain up was cuz it’s pushing over 600 Watts. Not 500 like box said the birth sheet is correct , don’t forget.!! Never bought a RF amp but am happy I found this amp!! If I could give 10 stars I would!! Worth every penny and really isn’t that many pennies for a under rated amp that’s gonna come over 600watts anyways is definitely worth buying!!

Nice amp, probably one of the best bang for the buck one you can find. If you have a moderate system and like good clean bass this is it, if you into the shake the neighborhood thing this won’t be it.Install was straight forward, setup took some time to get it right where I wanted it, included remote knob is a nice feature, most other charge extra for one. Not running anything to fancy, just one 10 at 2ohms and the birth sheet said 635w, so what’s not to love about a extra 135w, thats more overage than my stock “infinity system” JBL amp sent to the factory sub, paired with a pioneer shallow mount freeair 10 so not the ideal setup and the amp is double what the sub can handle so down the road I can upgrade or go with a harder hitting box, options and future upgrades are nice.Update 9-19Stepped up to a much better sub, 12″ ported box rated at 600rms, and this little amp makes it pound with ease, and it’s a a very decent sub, I’m still blown away how good these amps are in this price range, about to replace my budget 4channel amp with the p400 4d next week and and can’t wait to hear how much better it will sound, big kudos to RF for producing such a great product with a budget minded price, sure the punch line and higher ones have more features but for the one looking to get some good power without taking out a second mortgage these things rock.

My husband bought this for the subwoofer in his Civic. Disclaimer: I know nothing about car audio. I have only the most basic understanding of “car audio” in general due to being married to a car audiophile for 16 years. I have an even weaker grasp on what this amp does exactly, but I recognize the brand name. As for my personal review, I appreciate that it’s not some giant, ugly, 3-foot, 50-lb thing that may get installed, then uninstalled, then sit in my garage…or, god forbid, under my BED, for YEARS before being taken back out and put into another trunk. I mean, what? That’s never happened to me…like three times or anything. I digress. My husband asked me to review it on his behalf, but as my knowledge with its specifics are iffy, I asked him, “Ok, do you love it?” He says he does. He likes that it is compact and that it has a lot of power to produce adequate results from his sub. I appreciate that it didn’t take him forever to install, and because of its size I was not required to help hold or lift anything in the process. Everyone wins. End vote, let your audio-loving spouse buy this because even if they take it out, you can store it somewhere where your cats don’t nest on it and people won’t ask you what “that thing” sitting over there is.

I have this Amp powering a JL audio HO 110 RG W3v3. It now hits like it was advertised. I was using a Power Acoustik 2500D that was cutting out on heavy or fast Bass notes just not enough reserve power. This amp definitely has some weight to it. I used a Multi-meter to set the gain properly and it was sounding great. Then I plugged in the Bass knob and the Bass wasn’t hitting even after turning the knob up half way… I adjusted the gain up a little to 5 and it came back? I’m using the High level inputs and surprised there is no auto turn on, I had to run a remote wire. I assume the Fuses are internal as there are not external fuses?

Likes:-Very compact for the 4 ohm 300 RMS rating-It comes with the remote knob for the bass controlDislikes:-Bass knob control light is bright. I have it mounted under the dash so it doesn’t affect me, but putting it in light of sight at night could cause some discomfort.-Deep mount screw location, it’s hard to align screw with hole. Having a magnetic tip screwdriver helps out.Overall, I would buy again. The dislikes seem to be personal preference. I used KnuConceptz 8 gauge amp install and replaced the fuse for a 50 AGU fuse. Everything worked perfect.

I love this amp , will recomend to anybody looking for graet bass while keeping a stock radio also a stock auto electric sytem. it pushes 300wt rms @4ohms / 500 wt rms @2ohms,( I chose to run it in 2ohm set up) only uses 25avrg-50max amps of your cars elecrtical production,(stock alternator should be just fine) I Flipping love it!! Just a rec. add a dsp (digital signal processeror) tune it and love it!Already has high freq input aswell as rca input and pass through to feed signal to other amps. The amp itself is very well thought out and also comes with bass nob unless your subs req. more rms , this is your bass amp.

I ordered Rockford Fosgate R250X1 Amplifier to power a single 12″ subwoofer from TacoTunes (Image Dynamics ID12 D4 V.4). The subwoofer is rated at 250RMS at 2ohms and can handle up to 400max watts. The Rockford Fosgate amp I received came with a certification sheet that tested out at 320watts RMS at 2ohms which I was pleased to see.Wired at a 2ohm load, It produces a bit of heat under normal load, but nothing crazy. The amp is small enough to fit behind the seat of my 2017 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab. It has plenty of controls and pushed my 12″ sub with ease. 4 Gauge powerground wire fits in with ease. I like how all the wiring terminals are just on one side and I also like how all the audio setting knobs are on the top instead of the side.It does come with a remote control and highlow input (though I used RCA instead)There are only two things that i’m not to fond of:1. The remote blue LED light is extremely bright. I had to put electrical tape over it to stop it from blinding me at night2. The mounting holes are not easy to get toThis is probably one of the best amps you can buy for the money!

This tiny thing is a freaking Beast!Decided to install a stereo in my gfs car for her bday. Paired this with a American Bass XR-10D4 in a bbox e10sv ported enclosure. As far as ratings go the sub is clearly being underpowered but damn the thing hits hard and it’s more than enough for her. The bass remote does leave a lot to be desired though. I used to install professionally and have tuned more amps than I can count, but this knob is touchy with very limited range. In about 1/8th the range of turn it goes from no bass to max…Could be an isolated issue and its just a defective part that I received. Not a huge deal as she doesn’t play with it much.
